About Christina:

Christina is a writer who is dedicated to spreading nutcracker syndrome awareness awareness worldwide. After waiting almost ten years for a diagnosis and receiving a left ovarian vein transposition, Christina is dedicated to helping other NCS patients receive the swiftest, most efficient care possible. She has spoken about nutcracker syndrome on The SpoonFull Show, Othering Podcast, and Unfiltered Stories. As a Master’s Candidate at Middlebury Language Schools, Christina has written essays in Italian on her experience living with nutcracker syndrome and other chronic illnesses.

Christina’s publications include articles for The Mighty, Yahoo Finance, and Hearinglikeme.com. She also published a short story in Nothing Ever Happens in Fox Hollow Anthology: Volume 2 and in Last Stanza Poetry Journal. In 2019, Christina presented part of her novel in progress, a disability love story, at Middlebury Bread Loaf in Sicily. Christina is also one of five co-authors of Seasons of Sisterhood, a travel memoir detailing a 2016 trip through Cameroon that details a cross-cultural experience of identity, music, and family. Through Middlebury Language Schools, Christina is building a writing portfolio in Italian and hopes to be a bilingual author by graduation.

Outside of writing and advocacy, Christina is the epitome of “I’m going to die petting something I shouldn’t.” If something walks on four legs, barks, or meows, Christina will fall in love instantly. Her phone is overloaded with pictures of her pet sitting clients and her family’s English Setter, Rosie.
